Installation
Horizontal Inclinometers

Excavate trench with small gradient (0.5%) for drainage. Bottom
of trench should be flat. Place and compact 100 mm layer of sand
in trench. Lay assembled casing in trench. Orient casing so one
set of grooves is vertical.

Cover casing with 100 mm of sand. Compact evenly.

Backfill remainder of trench with select fill. Compact evenly.
Obtain datum readings, then hand over to client.
EL Horizontal In-Place Inclinometers
Inclinometer casing is installed in a horizontal borehole, buried in a
trench, or attached to a structure.

Install casing as above.

Position the string of EL sensors inside the casing. Sensors are
connected by a signal cable.

Connect readout and obtain a datum reading.
