   1.03 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES

    A. Transmit each submittal with Engineer accepted 4 part colored submittal record form. A suggested layout will be provided by Engineer.

    B. Sequentially number the submittal forms using four (4) digit numbering system beginning with 1001. Resubmittals to have original number and a prefix in ten thousand place for the resubmittals number sequence. (example: 2001 resubmittal of submittal No. 1)

    C. Identify Project, Contractor, Subcontractor or supplier; pertinent Contract Drawing sheet and detail number(s), and specification Section number, as appropriate.

    D. Apply Contractor's stamp, signed, and certifying that review, verification of Products required, field dimensions, adjacent construction Work, and coordination of information, is in accordance with the requirements of the Work and Contract Documents. Contractor's responsibility for errors, omissions, and deviations from requirements of the Contract Documents in submittals of shop drawings, project data or samples is not relieved by Engineer's review.

    E. Schedule submittals to expedite the Project, and deliver to Engineer. Coordinate submission of related items. Submit in one package a complete system showing interconnections and all requirements for a complete operational system.

    F. Identify variations from Contract Documents and Product or system limitations which may be detrimental to successful performance of the completed Work.

    G. Provide space for Contractor and Engineer review stamps.

    H. Revise and resubmit submittals as required until no exceptions are noted. Identify all changes made since previous submittal.

    I. Distribute copies of reviewed submittals to concerned parties. Instruct parties to promptly report any inability to comply with provisions. Failure to review does not relieve Contractor of responsibility to provide a complete operational system(s).

    J. Do not install materials or equipment which require submittals until the submittals are returned with Engineer's stamp indicating "No Exceptions Noted".

    K. No claim will be allowed for damages or extension of time because of delays in the work resulting from rejection of material or from revisions and resubmittal of shop drawings, project data, or samples or lack of complete submittal.

   1.04 PROPOSED PRODUCTS LIST

    A. Within 90 days after date of Notice to Proceed, submit complete list of all products and equipment proposed for use in the Work with name of manufacturer, trade name, and model number of each product including a schedule of the date of each submittal.

    B. For products specified only by reference standards, give manufacturer, trade name, model or catalog designation, and reference standards.

   1.05 SHOP DRAWINGS

    A. Submit shop drawings and product data in the form of one reproducible transparency and three (3) prints. Engineer will retain three (3) prints and return reproducible for Contractor's use and distribution.

    B. The Contractor shall be allowed two (2) submittals, original and one resubmittal, for the proposed material, equipment, project data or sample at no expense to the Contractor. For subsequent submittals, the Contractor shall reimburse the Owner for the charges of the Engineer for evaluating each subsequent submittal at the rate of $100.00 per hour.

    C. After Engineer's review, reproduce and distribute in accordance with Article on Procedures above and for Record Documents described in Section 01720.

   1.06 PRODUCT DATA

    A. Mark each of the three (3) prints and reproducible transparency to identify applicable products, models, options, and other data. Supplement manufacturers' standard data to provide information unique to this Project. Delete any information not applicable to the project; clearly show dimensions and clearances required; show performance characteristics and capacities; and show electrical and control information.

    B. Manufacturer's Product Data consists of catalog sheets, brochures, diagrams, standard schematic drawings, schedules, performance charts, illustrations, and other standard descriptive data that serves to define the characteristics and capabilities of a product.

   1.07 SAMPLES

   Submit samples to illustrate functional and aesthetic characteristics of the Product, with integral parts and attachment devices. Coordinate sample submittals for interfacing work.

   Submit samples of finishes from the full range of manufacturers' standard colors in custom colors selected, textures, and patterns for Engineer's selection. Items requiring color selection in physical proximity to other items shall be submitted together.

   Include identification on each sample, with full Project information.

   Submit the number of samples specified in individual specification Sections or if not specified submit three (3); two (2) of which will be retained by Engineer.

   Reviewed samples which may be used in the Work are indicated in individual specification Sections.

   1.08 MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS

    A. When specified in individual specification Sections, submit manufacturers' printed instructions for delivery, storage, assembly, installation, start-up, adjusting, and finishing, in quantities specified for Product Data.

    B. Identify conflicts between manufacturer's instructions and Contract Documents.

   1.09 MANUFACTURER'S CERTIFICATES

    A. When specified in individual specification Sections, submit manufacturers' certificate to Engineer for review.

    B. Indicate material or product conforms to or exceeds specified requirements. Submit supporting reference date, affidavits, and certifications as appropriate.

    C. Certificates may be recent or previous test results on material or Product, but must be acceptable to Engineer.

   PART 2 PRODUCTS

   PART 3 EXECUTION
