1.04 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
B. Shop Drawings: Indicate door elevations, internal reinforcement, closure method, and cut-outs for glazing, louvers, and finish.
C. Product Data: Indicate door configurations, location of cut-outs for hardware reinforcement.
D. Manufacturer's Installation Instructions: Indicate special installation instructions.
E. Manufacturer's Certificate: Certify that Products to be furnished meet or exceed specified requirements.
1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Conform to requirements of HMMA 802, HMMA 810, HMMA 830, HMMA 840, HMMA 850, and ANSI A117.1.
1.06 QUALIFICATIONS
A. Manufacturer: Company specializing in manufacturing the Products specified in this section with minimum five years documented experience.
1.07 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
A. Fire Rated Door and Panel Construction: Conform to ASTM E152, NFPA 252, and UL 10B.
B. Fire Rated Door Construction: Rate of rise of 250 F degrees across door thickness.
C. Installed Door and Panel Assembly: Conform to NFPA 80 for fire rated class as scheduled and as indicated on the drawings.
1.08 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Deliver, store, protect, and handle products to site under provisions of Section 01600.
B. Protect doors with resilient packaging sealed with heat shrunk plastic.
C. Accept doors on site in manufacturer's packaging. Inspect for damage.
D. Break seal on-site as required to permit ventilation.
1.09 FIELD MEASUREMENTS
A. Verify that field measurements are as indicated on shop drawings and instructed by the manufacturer.
1.10 COORDINATION
A. Coordinate work under provisions of Section 01039.
B. Coordinate the work with door opening construction, door frame and door hardware installation.

2.02 DOORS AND PANELS
A. Exterior Doors (Non-thermally Broken): HMMA, Door Design 861.
B. Interior Doors (Non-rated): HMMA, Door Design 861.
C. Interior Doors (Fire Rated): HMMA, Door Design 861.
2.03 DOOR CONSTRUCTION
A. Face: Steel, galvanized sheet in accordance with ASTM A525 manufactured and fabricated in accordance with HMMA 802 and 810.
B. Core: Vertical steel stiffeners.
C. Door Edge Design: V Bevel.
2.04 ACCESSORIES
A. Louvers: As manufactured by Airolite, Ventilouver or equal.
1. HMMA Design 861.
B. Primer: Zinc chromate type, same as door finish.
2.05 FABRICATION
A. Astragals for Double Doors: Steel, Z shaped, recessed at face edge, specifically for double doors.
B. Fabricate doors with hardware reinforcement welded in place.
C. Fabricate fire doors to HMMA 850. Attach fire rated label to each door unit.
D. Close top edge of exterior doors with steel flush end channel closure. Seal joints watertight.
E. Configure exterior doors with special profile to receive recessed weatherstripping.
2.06 FINISH
A. Exterior Units: ASTM A525.
B. Interior Units: ASTM A525.
C. Primer: Baked. Compatible with the requirements of Section 09900.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verify substrate conditions under provisions of Section 01039.
B. Verify that opening sizes and tolerances are acceptable.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Install doors in accordance with HMMA 840 and HMMA 830 for hardware installation.
B. Coordinate installation of glass and glazing.
C. Install door louvers, plumb and level.
D. Coordinate installation of doors with installation of frames specified in Section 08115 and hardware specified in Section 08710.
3.03 ERECTION TOLERANCES
A. Maximum Diagonal Distortion: 1/16 inch measured with straight edge, corner to corner.
3.04 ADJUSTING
A. Adjust work under provisions of Section 01700.
B. Adjust door for smooth and balanced door movement.
