1.02 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit shop drawings under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Submit product data for components and accessories.
1.03 QUALIFICATIONS
A. Manufacturer: Company specializing in manufacturing the products specified in this Section with minimum five years documented experience.
1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Deliver products to site, store and protect, under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Accept products on site and verify damage.
C. Protect products from weather and moisture by covering with heavy plastic or canvas and by maintaining heating within enclosure in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
1.05 EXTRA MATERIALS
A. Submit maintenance materials under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Submit two insulated-handle tools designed for pulling fuses, to ANSI/IEEE C37.46.
C. Submit two sets of three spare fuses of each size and rating under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.

2.02 MOTOR CONTROLLER
A. Medium Voltage Motor Controller: NEMA ICS 2; Class E2.
B. System Voltage: 5 kV, three phase, 60 Hz.
C. Rated Insulation Voltage: 5000 volts.
D. Interrupting Rating: 400 rms symmetrical MVA at nominal utilization voltage.
E. Motor Type and Size: Synchronous motor, horsepower rating shown on Drawings.
F. Motor Starting Method: Full Voltage, Non-Reversing.
2.03 COMPONENTS
A. Contactor: NEMA ICS 2; Drawout vacuum type, size as sized as required for the motor horsepower indicated in Drawings.
B. Medium Voltage Fuse: ANSI/IEEE C37.46; 2.0R rated. Ratings shown on Drawings.
C. Fuse Voltage: 5.08 kV, maximum.
D. Fuse Interrupting Rating: 50,000 amperes rms symmetrical.
E. Thermal Overload Relays: Solid state type, selected by manufacturer to protect motors with horsepowers indicated.
F. Provide a fused isolation switch for each starter.
2.04 ACCESSORIES
A. Incoming Cable Terminations: Clamp-type, with adequate space for stress cone installation.
B. Control Power Transformer: 120 volt secondary, sized by controller manufacturer.
C. Auxiliary Contacts: NEMA ICS 2; four field convertible contacts in addition to seal-in contact.
D. Selector Switches: NEMA ICS 2; HAND/OFF/AUTO, locking type in front cover.

H. Ammeter and Voltmeter: ANSI C39.1; digital indicating ammeter and voltmeter with 4.5 inch square recessed case with digital readout. Readout to be 1/2" minimum height numbers with 1/2 percent accuracy. Range to be 125 percent of switchboard voltage and amperage.
1. Ammeter and Voltmeter Selector Switch: Pushbutton type with 600 volt AC-DC silver plated contacts. Indicate amperage for each phase. Indicate voltage for each phase to neutral and for each phase to phase. Denote phase being displayed.
I. Current Transformers: Provide two (2) per phase ANSI C57.13;5 ampere secondary, with secondary shorting device, primary/secondary ratio as required, burden and accuracy consistent with connected metering and relay devices, 60 hertz.

05 FABRICATION

06 FACTORY FINISHES
A. Clean surfaces before applying paint.
B. Apply corrosion-resisting primer to all surfaces.
C. Apply finish coat of manufacturer's standard baked enamel.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
04 EXAMINATION
A. Verify that surfaces are ready to receive work.
B. Verify field measurements are as shown on shop drawings.
C. Verify that required utilities are available, in proper location, and ready for use.
D. Beginning of installation means installer accepts conditions.
05 INSTALLATION
A. Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
06 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Field inspection and testing will be performed under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Test to NEMA ICS 2.
