1.02 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit shop drawings and product data under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Indicate on shop drawings, front and side views of motor control center enclosures with overall dimensions. Include conduit entrance locations and requirements; nameplate legends; size and number of bus bars; electrical characteristics including voltage, frame size and trip ratings, withstand ratings, and time-current curves of all equipment and components.
C. Provide product data on combination motor starters, relays, pilot devices, and switching and overcurrent protective devices.
1.03 OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA
A. Submit operation and maintenance data under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Include spare parts data listing; source and current prices of replacement parts and supplies; and recommended maintenance procedures and intervals.
1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Deliver products to site under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Deliver in 48 inch maximum width shipping splits, individually wrapped for protection, and mounted on shipping skids.
C. Store and protect products under provisions of applicable Sections of Division 1.
D. Store in a clean, dry space. Maintain factory wrapping or provide an additional heavy canvas or heavy plastic cover to protect units from dirt, water, construction debris, and traffic.
E. Handle in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions. Lift only with lugs provided for the purpose. Handle carefully to avoid damage to motor control center components, enclosure, and finish.

2.02 MOTOR CONTROL CENTER
A. Motor Control Centers: NEMA ICS 2; Class I, Type B.
B. Main Overcurrent Protection: As indicated on Drawings.
C. Combination Magnetic Motor Starters: NEMA ICS2; AC General Purpose Class A magnetic controller for induction motors rated in horsepower.
1. Type: Full voltage or closed-circuit transition wye-delta reduced voltage as indicated on the Drawings.
2. Size: NEMA ICS2; size as indicated on the Drawings.
3. Coil Operating Voltage: 120 volts AC, 60 Hertz.
4. Overload Relay: NEMA ICS2; ambient compensated bimetal.
5. Auxiliary Contacts: Two field convertible contacts in addition to seal-in contact.
6. Selector Switches: NEMA ICS2; HAND/OFF/AUTO, in front cover.
7. Pushbuttons: NEMA ICS2; START/STOP, in front cover.
8. Indicating Lights: NEMA ICS2; RUN: green, STOP: red, in front cover.

PART 3 - EXECUTION
04 INSTALLATION
A. Install motor control equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Provide working clearances as required by NEC Article 110.
B. Select and install heater elements in motor starters to match installed motor characteristics.
C. Motor Data: Provide neatly typed label inside each motor starter enclosure door identifying motor served, nameplate horsepower, full load amperes, code letter, service factor, and voltage/phase rating.
05 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Field inspection and testing shall be in accordance with applicable Sections of Division 1.
B. Inspect completed installation for physical damage, proper alignment, proper overcurrent protective device ratings and motor starter sizes, mechanical operation of disconnecting means, anchorage, and grounding.
C. Check tightness of accessible bus joints and other bolted connections using a calibrated torque wrench. Tightness shall be in accordance with manufacturers recommended values.
D. Measure insulation resistance of each bus section phase to phase and phase to ground for one minute each. Test voltage shall be 1000 volts. Minimum acceptable value for insulation resistance is 2 megohms.
E. Measure resistance between ground bus and enclosure. Maximum resistance is 0.01 ohms.
