Rembco Geotechnical Contractors is a specialty contractor. We take pride in helping people with solutions to their unstable soils (compaction grouting), settling foundations (micropiles and sinkholes repair), and leakage problems (chemical grouting). Many of our projects fall into one of the three areas listed below, yet others will not, including sinkholes and micropiles. Please browse the following descriptions of our work to get a better understanding of how Rembco can help with your geotechnical needs.

 Micropiles - Sinkholes
  We prevent buildings from settling.
By the installation of Atlas® Piers systems (micropiles), we are able to support structures that have settled. The damage may be the result of poorly compacted fill, improper drainage, development of sinkholes, or improper design. Once the source
of settling is identified, we can stabilize the structure. Our compaction piers and end-bearing micropiles rest on bedrock, reducing the chance of further settlement. Many times, with micropiles, we are able to lift the structure back toward its original position.

Soil nailing equipment, shotcrete wall, and drainage ditches.
  We prevent hillsides from sliding
Soil Nailing has proven to be a successful practice for over twenty years. In this process, a failing hillside or earth mass is "stapled" in place by using near-horizontal nails and reinforced grout. The nails are placed in-situ, meaning that the soil equilibrium remains essentially undisturbed throughout the entire construction process. Our soil nail walls are engineered and designed by licensed civil or geotechnical engineers.

Another stabilization method used in deep vertical excavations is compaction grouting. This procedure is extremely effective for excavations such as deep pits or excavations adjacent structures. Micropiles are installed around the perimeter of the excavation before any digging has begun. The compaction system compacts the underlying soils to create a shoring wall in the earth. Once the micropiles are in place, vertical cuts can be made into the compacted soils, eliminating the need for trench boxes, shoring, or special cuts. We also provide rock bolting services for anchors and micropiles stabilization.

 Chemical Sealing Equipment
  We prevent contamination from spreading
Many of our geotechnical chemical projects over the years required us to stop the spread of contamination, even through sinkholes. This contamination may have been an oil product, a radioactive product, a leak in an underground or underwater effluent pipe, or even clean water filtering into areas where it is not desired. We have the equipment capabilities to inject various types of chemical and cement grouts (compaction grouting) into seams, fissures, cracks, and joints, depending on the logistic situation requirements. Many instances require a combination of chemical grouting processes to control a leak. With large scale chemical grout capabilities, we are able to "blanket" contamination sources underground without any excavating, and we can patch leaks in subsurface pipes without their removal.
