R. Mike Bivens is named new President and CEO of Rembco after 15 years with the company.
Rembco Geotechnical Contractors is pleased to announce appointment of R. Mike Bivens, P.E. to the position of
President/CEO for the company. Bivens has served the company as Chief Engineer since 2012. Bivens is part of the new ownership team at Rembco as the company’s past President Clay Griffin and Vice President, Denise Griffin prepare for retirement.
“Mike has the perfect mix of technical expertise, operational experience, and business management skills to be a great leader for Rembco. His boundless energy, upbeat attitude and business ethics inspire coworkers and clients alike,” said Clay Griffin, Rembco’s past President. “Having the privilege to work with Mike for more than 15 years, I know the company will flourish under his leadership.”
Bivens is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BSCE and MS degree in Geotechnical Engineering and he is currently pursuing an executive MBA in Strategic Leadership at UT’s Haslam College of Business. Since joining the company in 2004, Bivens has served as estimator, project manager and Chief Engineer through years of profitable growth. Mike lives in Oak Ridge, TN with his wife and two children.

As part of the leadership transition in the company, Partners Tim Adkins and Bill King are promoted to Vice Presidential positions managing operations, projects, and equipment. Together with Bivens, this team has 70+ years of Rembco experience and 20 combined years of ownership in the company. Rembco’s past President provides this comment about the new management team:
